This is one reason why I prefer the GBC version over this! The Game Boy has a slow CPU (at 4 MHz), so in some levels like Clifftop Critters, if you fall quickly with lots of sprites, the scrolling screen can't keep up, so it's as if you fell down a pit! Since the GBC has a mode that runs about twice as fast (at 8 MHz), the GBC version of this game runs more smoothly, eliminating this problem.

  • Of course, the fact that the Japanese GBC version of this game uses the GBC's double-speed mode has a downside: It causes the Jetty Jitters demo (from the title screen) to desync! And Rare didn't bother to fix the demo to compensate for this...

  • I don't get it. Since this is on a 3DS, shouldn't the CPU thing be the same? (I'm not familiar with technical stuff x_x)
