    You actually WANT to run out of moves in this situation. The board will be reset, giving another chance for a major offensive blow. We're stuck at the same place... good luck.

    There's the problem: you had another possible move. Since Mega Glalie freezes columns, you don't want two of the same figure across from each other for long... you'll be forced to match them instead of resetting the board. Yes, it's really terrible.
