    As I noticed you let frenzy take hold of you, here's a bit of advice... Never let frenzy take hold of you. Fight it off. And always bring Nulberries with you. They only clear 50 percent of the meter, but that buys you time to get the frenzy buff.

    As long as you fight off the frenzy, you always get affinity buff. That red symbol is always a debuff meaning you take heavier damage from frenzied monsters.
