  • The name of this game sounds stupid but the graphics look nice! Loving these pics. How does the fame play and what do you do exactly?

  • Yes it has a stupid name, but yes, doesn't it look nice? The point of the game is exactly what the title says; you are an air traffic controller. Using touch screen or buttons, you basically tell the planes which runway to land/take off from, and like in a simulation, the planes need to get to the runways, and that involves a lot of waiting as planes are pretty slow on the ground.

  • If the airport is busy, you may have a bunch of planes taxiing around the place, and you have to constantly watch them to prevent head-on collisions, in the air and on the ground, which would automatically be a game over.

  • Other things that affects your score are near misses, making passengers/planes wait a long time for orders, and not taking wind direction into account when taking off/landing. The wind changes periodically so you'll never know if it's going to mess you up. If you love planes or being an air traffic controller, you'll probably like this game a lot.

  • It's slow paced sometimes while you watch the planes get to where they need to go (there's cam views so you can see the planes flying around or towed/taxiing), and the voice chatter regarding air traffic is pretty authentic. The conversations between the pilot and the controller is realistic.

  • When planes are leaving the terminals or landing/taking off, you also hear realistic chatter from the boarding personnel and the stewardess. You know, things like "we'll be landing shortly. Please put trays up in upright position, etc, etc." One amazing thing is when a Japanese plane is at the airport. The stewardess speaks in both Japanese and English. Again, just like in real planes.

  • At night the lights look really cool at the airport. It can rain, be cloudy or sunny, day and night. In addition to the campaign mode, there is a cool feature where you can 'take pics' with the 3DS camera. I say 'take pics' because they actually don't save to your SD card. The 'pics' you take will generate new stages for the game, and you can have some unique variations, like new music

  • (I've found several so far, such as Rise of the Valkyries, the Can Can, and a Russian piece that reminds me of Tetris), 'fast' stages, 'slow' stages, 'extended' stages, 'low time' stages, etc. It gives the game pretty much unlimited playability. I forgot. There is also sunset-to-dusk weather which is very nice, and after it rains you may see a rainbow. The attention to detail is pretty cool

  • in this game, and there's all sorts of different planes that can come by, including seaplanes. This game is pretty addictive, but if you don't like slow paced games (although it can get stressful if you have more than 4 planes to constantly check) or planes, then you may not like it.

  • Overall, though, it's definitely a unique type of game. I just love the airplane chatter in the game, and simply watching the planes as they fly by. It's realistic how they land too. They actually tilt up before impact like real planes. I love seeing them take off and land :D

  • Oh, there's a demo you can actually try on the Eshop. The demo however does have some bad engrish in it, but the full game is actually fine. No engrish.

  • Cool, thanks! It actually sounds like I would enjoy this game. I like these types of games. At the very least I'll check out the demo.

  • That Russian tune is Korobeiniki. But yes, this game is great! There are several other versions (i.e. airports) available for Japanese 3DS. The series has been around on PC for over 10 years. Unfortunately, few have ever been released outside of Japan.

  • On the Eshop
