    1: Every Mario Party up until 6 played the same aside from the addition of items and DK minigames. 2: I'm not waiting for that ONE friend who just had to go to the restroom, causing everyone to wait for him. 3: Characters in Mario Party play exactly the same, so a huge roster isn't necessary. Just keep the original characters, Toadette, Birdo, Rosalina (maybe), add Diddy, and at least one villain.

    Online should likely be limited to friends only if anything, it's difficult for developers to deal with potential threats like ragequitters.
