    I've only used a Great Ball once or twice, but for the most part, it feel like, if your capture rate is below 50%, then add a 10-15% onto it, and you get the real odds...

    The odds you see are the odds you get. It's chance. A 15% success rate still means that 3 out of 20 times will lead to a catch. The unseen spin dial just so happened to land in your favor. So long as it's above 0%, there is always a chance of success, even a small one.
