People, the NX isn't going to be out until 2017! So unless you think that Nintendo is going to pull a The Last of Us Remastered and re-release Zelda U on the NX a year later, there's really nothing to worry about.

although this is a major letdown because I thought they were already delaying for this same reason, I would much rather wait for a GOOD game than play a rushed game.

btw, if the new zelda skips the wii u, the reason I bought the wii u, I will never play nintendo again. I bought the wii.u JUST FOR ZELDA!!! This controller I felt was perfect for Zelda. to be honest .... I was hoping for a full blown zelda within the first six months.

Nintendo is a master of hype and gets everyone excited for the game. It helps them get the attention Nintendo well and truly deserves as a company dedicated to creating amazing and creative products in an industry surrounded by companies that continually create the same game (hem hem CoD hem hem) with tiny twists.

Aonuma, I can totally see why the game has received a bit of a delay. This is ingenious. Developing a video game takes a lot of time (e.g. Kirby's Return to Dreamland took 11 years to complete, Pokemon Red and Green took 6-7 years, SSB Melee took 13 months, LoZ: Twilight Princess took 2-3 years). With more time, this might just be the greatest video game of all time. I fully respect the decision.

La Méra verdad está algo triste el asunto que este nuevo Zelda para Wii U, no saldrá éste año y se llevará al cabo en proceso hasta el 2016; ni menos se va mostrar en E3 2015 en Los Ángeles CA,. Y bien que Iwata mostró lo prometedor en un video que este título saldría para éste año, pero no era así para esperar más.

Sr Aonuma, lo comprendo de verdad acerca del proceso de lo que se está elaborado este proyecto del título. Mas no sé si valdrá la pena esperar un año más, pero quién se sabe acerca de los espectadores de Zelda lo tomen.

With Super Smash Bros for 3DS/WiiU, Mario Party 10, and Hyrule Warriors all in our hands, we can still wait for another year for this new game to come out.

Okay, if this project excedes even Aonuma's expectations, then this just might be the greatest Zelda of all time. There is no doubt in my mind that this will be the perfect balance between gameplay and story, or at least the greatest balance in the Zelda series to date. Aonuma, I must say, either you have so much potential for this project that you're over hyping it, or we're in for a real treat!!

Nintendo's focus on quality over quantity is the main reason it has become my favorite gaming company over the years. When the creators say they are pushing out a release date, I know it simply means the game is going to blow my mind once it finally arrives. I will wait as long as necessary for an epic adventure of a game!

I like it that Nintendo doesn't do yearly realeased games for all there anticipated games at a yearly rate,they take their time with games like these.They care about the game being good.

Wow. I don't know if I should be frustrated that it's not at E3, and the delay, (which I completely understand by the way,) or really hyped for the most epic TLOZ yet. I guess I am a little both, but this definitely raises my expectations.

GUYS The game wasn't officially delayed. aonuma said releasing in 2015 is not his #1 priority. meaning that the game releasing in 2015 MIGHT not happen. he didn't say for sure.

People who keep thinking that Zelda U is coming to the NX need to stop. Wii U is the only Nintendo console where we still don't have a dedicated Zelda game, heck, the GameCube got WW before TP became Nintendo multi-plat. I'm sure Nintendo will have SOMETHING to fill the November release, just not Zelda. We don't even know if the NX will come out next year or what it even is! We need to calm down.

First off, I must say that I'm impressed with all the mature comments. Everyone seems to not be raging over this and it was a pleasant surprise. But I don't understand why people are saying that they expect it to have multiplayer. Multiplayer is a bad idea for Zelda. Zelda U should not have multiplayer, if it did, it would be cruddy and not fit in with the rest of the game.

I'm glad they're putting so much work into this, and am very excited for this to come! But... We should be patient. I'm sure we won't be disappointed! Keep up the good work, Nintendo!

IMO, Quality and Quantity are both good things when combined of course. Wind Waker took 3 Years to make and is quite good, though due to the hardware restrictions, nintendo were unable to bring full potential to the game. Now we have the Wii U, so many new ideas can be put in the game making it a really good game.

I remember hearing about this game in a Nintendo Direct in January 2013. It's obvious that this game is already a HUGE project. So go on, and make it the best it can be.

Well Zelda games get delayed. Wind waker was delayed for a year Twilight Princess was delayed for 2 years. Ocarina of Time was announced in 1985 but didn't come out until 3 years later.

I think they made a good call, i would rather wait longer for a perfect game than have it early, and get board of it because of it's lacking content. This is zelda's chance for wiiu so you can't rush it.

I figured it would be delayed. Some Zelda games are, OoT for example, and look at the end result. What would you, the people complaining here want more: A finished game that gives the absolute best that the dev team can give us, or a half-finished game that will hurt the system and the company more than your feelings. AC: Unity and the Order is examples of rushing a game. Is that what you want?

I do not worry about delays or release dates. when its out its out and when it comes to nintendo games there're always topnotch in quality. So that means they care enough about their games and their quality even if it means upsetting a few folks cause they're gonna havta wait a few extra months. Learn to be patient

As Shigeru Miyamoto once said, 'A delayed game is eventually good, a bad game is bad forever.' I'm glad that Mr. Aonuma feels the need to delay this game to be the best it can be. Of course, they could just randomly give us a trailer tomorrow during the Direct and call the delay an April Fools Joke, but I still think that it will release in 2016.

Two things I want to suggest for future Zeldas... 1. MULTIPLAYER!!!!!!! PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE!!!! I want to be able to play Zelda with my friends and family and get them into it! 2. Can we also have a Zelda game in the same style as OoT and MM 3D? Those are my two favorite zeldas, and I would really love it if you could make another Zelda in that style. Thanks, Aonuma! :)
