Im having trouble surviving high rank, battles take longer, I use up alop of potions, and I die often, am a doing something wrong? how do I get better? (I main with insect glave, and twin blades)

    Hi-rank hunts require a faster pace of play, while being more defensive. Either ask someone (politely) to tank for you, or step your evasion game up.

    Also remember to block or roll out of a situation where you're set up to take damage chains, e.g. Tigrex multi-charge. You can also "skirt" monsters by staying at the edge of a monster's damage range, only going in for safe hits.

    upgrade your armor quite a bit untill you have well over 250-300 defense, rolldodge often, put your weapon away if you arent attacking, bring 10 regular and mega potions on every quest... look for cover when you heal... never let your health go below 1/2 its maximum value... keep your stamina up...

    High rank is where you may want to start bringing materials to make potions on the go. I got into the habit of always bringing Combo books 1&2.

    Also remember dodging away from the monster with you equipment sheathed gives you several invincibility frames...
