    At least it's "only" the R-Button. My L-Button is broken, which isn't helpful in Majora's Mask as you need it for aiming/focusing on the enemy.

    On my brother's original 3ds, both his L AND R buttons were broken.

    Both of my L and R buttons are busted. When playing Bowser's Inside Story the L button is the only way to exit certain menus...so I'm screwed if I enter them. Still, have you tried blowing in the R button? Sometimes the shoulder buttons won't work because it's dirty. Cleaning them with a toothpick or blowing helps.

    Oh, that's bad news for you. Still, I think you've developed enough patience and skill by now to not need soft reset that much, a normal one should be sufficient. Definitely try out Paul's suggestion btw. it worked many times for other people.

    Truly sorry to hear so... You won't need it in nuzlocke, but for every other run... *sigh* It's not a solution, but since soft resetting is impossible, and normal resetting takes so long, you could skip the enemy turn, bookmark and then select continue to delete the bookmark by reloading the previous savestate. It's almost as fast as the soft reset... less or few. Do try Paul's method first.
