    Sorry it's a mess, accidentally sent it before I could reorganize it. You can also trade a Silver VE Ticket at Ancestral Steppe. It's kinda all just luck. You could get it from your first run or it could take you twenty runs. Break head, break back, cut tail, collect shinies, and capture. Good luck man.

    Fight a Rathalos (Low or High Rank) and break its head, break its back, cut its tail, collect shinies, and capture the Rathalos for the highest chance at getting the Rathalos Plate.

    It's on the tail. Crave the tail. Requires some luck though. Check any shiny things it drops too. Also, try capturing it instead of killing it.

    To make it easier, bring traps and when it sets them off, attack the tail. Carve the tail and then slay or capture it. You should get one pretty quickly if you keep fighting it.
