People just hate the Sonic Boom cartoon because it's not serious like the Sonic Adventure games. It's trying to be cartoony and funny like Colors, and people HATE comedic Sonic because Sonic is supposed to be SO SERIOUS, even though it's a franchise about a blue hedgehog that fights a fat evil scientist.
