    I wouldn't exactly call that a paradox. The man expected the hanging to never occur, so it surprised him that it did occur.

    A paradox is known as a statement that is logically unacceptable, or self-contradictory, meaning that, while it is a pardox, as the hanging was not a surprise, the judges statement does not make sense. However, you may think of a paradox as something that is a counter-intuitive statement, which I guess, would not make it a paradox. Whatever. Think how ya' wanna' think.

    Here's one you might've heard of: A girl time travels to kill her young grandmother. Since the grandmother died young and was not able to have children, the girl never was born. If she was not born, it means she couldn't have killed her grandmother.
