-FE:IF has Phoenix mode, where fallen units are revived on the next turn. -Weapons are confirmed to be unbreakable in FE:IF. -The game has nine save slots, and buying a DLC will increase this by three (Maximum of fifteen for now.) -Characters from the royal family gain "Dragon Pulse" which allow you to change the layout of the map. This means that this ability is probably not limited to Kamui.

  • The names of the class for the avatar is officially "Dark Prince" or "Dark Princess". The avatar is once again customizable. Source: http://www.siliconera.com/2015/05/12/fire-emblem-if-adds-easier-modes-and-no-longer-has-limited-weapon-usage/

  • 1.Well I hope it's a newcomer thing with that or there's a RIDICULOUSLY rare item to pull that off 2.Well Mercenarys will need a new skill since Armsthrift is useless now. 3.That's a lot of save files. 4.I will now have an Avatar called Garchomp. 5.Oh cool so D.Pulse is an egg move in this game.

  • I CAN'T believe that the Weapons and Phoenix mode things r 4 me, real bummers. Regelias will now b uber thier go-to weapons, cuz they'll never break.

  • "Could you tell Jasper I'm crying right now? How much easier could it possibly get?" --Yarumi --Interdimensional Mailman @Erl: Regelias will most likely be on the last few chapters anyway, not to mention limited.

  • I don't want to be the partyp(o)oper, but... I literally see only one good thing here. Which is, the savefiles. Also, "Dragon Pulse" is reserved for the royal family? Interesting. I wonder, now...

  • Wouldn't Phoenix mode make the game nearly impossible to lose unless you loose all of your units on the same turn?

  • Phoenix mode is where if your units die, Phoenix Wright comes out of nowhere and yells "OBJECTION!" and then your units get revived.

  • One thing I would very much like is if there was something more after the S–ranks. Showing how things go after they get married. Maybe even Family Supports with both parents and the child/children. But that would probably never make it into the game

  • Phoenix Mode is probably just there so people can just enjoy the story without having to waste time either grinding or restarting chapters. I mean, come on, Normal + Phoenix Mode = impossible to lose. @Razzie: If marriage is a thing...

  • Normal mode, Phoenix Hoshido style.

  • @Razzie Forget the children: they are FE4/FE13 mechanics, but I doubt they will return. @Strider You're not alone, friend. The trailer did seem nice (at least I'm more hyped for that than SMTXFE), but I will remain doubious until I see. Also, hopefully Philemon will return as something better than glorified f*****g butterfly-shaped checkpoint or something. (Nyarly, too?)

  • @Yarumi/Everyone who is complaining about Phoenix, lack of duarability etc Nobody forces you to play Phoenix mode and I'm pretty sure that they'll balance the game in such a way that the lack of durability won't bring you into a situation where you use one weapon all the time. It worked out in Gaiden so why shouldn't it here too?

  • When I get the game, the first thing I'll do is die on the tutorial/prologue of Phoenix!Easy!Hoshido mode. Also, I'd imagine each campaign brings 3, so it's 9 maximum...

  • @Zaid About the save state thing: I think so to, it would make more sense than 15 and Serenesforest said 9 as well.
