    Somehow, I feel Chrom's character IS "pulled back", for a plethora of reasons: 1. He's the "bro" charather of the game, so his attitude doesn't change much throughout it. He works as a function of the Avatar (which ALMOST reaches his non-existant level of depth). 2. The only real occasion when Chrom somehow talked about his past etc., was to speak of his elder sister's torments.

    Overall, yes, you're right, sadly. But also, I think he rivals some of the Spotpass!DLC ones, like Yen'fay or Priam (which of course, have the excuse of absoluting not having the same amount of screentime, though...)

    @Jasper Most likely, yes. Since it was that one character that they NEEDED you to like (to some extend), considering his relevance to story and his relationship with your Avatar, they might have chosen a "dull" personality on purpouse.     Insert enough cutscenes with said character and (s)he'll become popular. Goes for Chrom, goes for Lucina and goes for some extent for Lissa. Will also go for dancer girl in fe:if, I guarantee it.

    Chrom- Princeling guy who literally smashes holes in the wall while training. Didn't got hired for Smash Bros. for this because he would have been too OP. Lucina - Princessling girl (?) who suffers from Oedipus-complex, fangirls about a Heroic King who died millennia ago and cosplays as him, showing she has despicable tastes in men. (Meant for fun, stop the cabbage rain, guys.)

    Well he's better than Roy or Marth imo. I think he's a likable lord but a lot of his character is sacrificed in favour of Robin. At least Chrom felt more human than other lords who were practically perfect in every way. Sure he's not the best but he's not terrible. Characters like Mriel whatsa-her-name, Yarne, Laurnet-whatever etc, are far more poorly developed.
