Ghosts are Comprised of Ethereal Energy, That energy is not Strong enough to be Visible To the Naked Eye... They can gather energy to become visible... That's why Camera Batteries seem to Die when Spectral Activity is Present

So apparently, the first episode of DBZ that featured Frieza, "Brood of Evil", was first aired on April 18, 1990.
And "Dragonball: Ressurection F", the movie in which Frieza is revived, gets a new Golden "God"-esque form, and where Goku and Vegeta get new Super Saiyan God forms, is set to release in theaters (not sure if just in Japan or internationally) on April 18, 2015.
