Nintendo, I love you. I have since I was two. You make the best games in the world, but please stop policing me and other adult consumers. Please figure out how to separate your services for younger and adult users. I'm getting restless here.

  • The gamers that have supported Nintendo products since the mid 80's should not have to suffer just because they want to cater to a younger demographic.

  • Exactly. They say they want to appeal to everyone, but this feels very one sided.

  • I think the Wii U has been a very important learning experience for Nintendo and they will apply those lessons to their next console. The restructuring of their console and handheld divisions as well as their partnership with DeNA show us they intend to make major improvements going forward.

  • I truly hope so.

  • They make it difficult to be optimistic, but at least we can depend on their internal EAD studios to continue cranking out quality software.

We can always rely on Nintendo to make great software, it's just the other things they do that leave me confused.

  • Chock it up to being a japanese company out of touch with the western market.A shame really since we've always been their largest consumer base...

I know. It's insane to me.

  • Facts. They got to realize they have gamers who grew up on them that are now adults now.

  • I wrote a post very similar to this a while with how they treat every user like children. Very frustrating because people of all ages use Nintendo products. There definitely needs to be a better system in place for separating youth from adults!
