    Like two people said before, using random can be helpful in this situation. It gives you a chance to experience playing as other fighters. It allows you to see if you like a certain character's play-style. It may give you ideas on the strengths and weaknesses of a character. If you are fighting against said character or playing as that character you might know how to handle different situations.
