    In the end they're kind of the same in their own different games. Except that the Master Sword has more importance in the Zelda series, more so than the Falchion in the Fire Emblem series.

    Falchion, it had some actual backstory, whereas the Master Sword is just the overused "It's a sacred sword because we said so" cliche.

    There was a whole game devoted to how the Master Sword was made. Whereas Falchion is meant specifically for defeating Grima. It's got one purpose, to kill dragons. The Master Sword is meant to defeat all evil.
