Question

what level does my armor have to be for its skill tree/skill points to become active skills if i am understanding how this works correctly?

    In order for an armor skill to become active, it must reach 10 points. Some skills have extra levels that activate every 5th point afterward (as in, at 15 and 20). Some armor skills have negative effects that activate at -10, with extra levels every 5th negative point afterward. You can check what point values are needed to activate an armor skill by checking the description on a skill.

    Each and every piece of armor has a set of skill points that accumulate to activate an armor skill. Leveling them up changes no point values. If your Chest piece has +5 attack and your Legs have +5 attack, the pieces add up to 10 points that activate the Attack up (s) armor skill. Use more attack pts (5pt each) to boost that value up (25 points max for attack, same or less for others).

    An easy way to see how many points you need is to open up your menu and select Status, then go to page 3 to view your Skill tree. There you will see your skills lined up and how many points each piece of equipment give you. Pressing Y will give you details to the skills on the Skill Tree area, letting you know how many points are used for the skills to be activated and improved.
