Looks cool, but I have a copy of the wii version. (Gamestop probably still has copies for $60, you should look for that if a $250 upgrade feels to steep)

@Zippa Wii copy, and that is because the Wii version was extremely rare. The New 3DS version is like half the price @Zack it says only on New 3DS on the box, so if you do that, its your fault (you as in the general consumer)

Wooohoooo! I'm so glad I finally got the new 3ds! I've been waiting to play this game and it looks great! I'll have to wait though cuz I just spent all my money on my 3ds and a couple games.

Also its a complete rip-off! Why make it just for the new 3DS and not a regular XL. Well good job Nintendo, you just wasted so much money remaking Xenoblade for the 3DS that tons of people don't even have! I didn't want to face facts, but Nintendo is really making quite a few terrible decisions. You've lost alot of money because this bad decision. Smash Bros 4 is your backbone right now.

i currently have plans for getting a New 3ds in a few mothes and once i get it, XENOBLADE CHONICALS 3D will DEFINITELY be one the first things i get for it!

I already have the original Wii games, in fact I pre-ordered it and got a bonus artbook for pre-ordering it, so I didn't get this version. But I'm hoping my boyfriend does, he needs to stop missing out on this masterpiece.

for all those complaining about the n3ds just buy it! The old one has been out for 4 whole years! every company releases a new system every 3 years! Get over your selfs, grow up, and enter reality!

@Jacob And thats the problem for me! The least Nintendo can do is drop prices by like,say, 40 dollars. That would be better for them in the long run. More people have that money and can easily get another 40 dollars. I'm just a little ticked off that Nintendo made this amazing new 3DS, made it just a little too pricey, and continued to make a great game everyone wants, ONLY FOR IT!!!!!

I ordered my New 3DS XL the day it released (not knowing I had to pre-order it) and I'm STILL waiting for it! It was the Monster Hunter 4 one, too...

Why can't Xenoblade Cronicles be for the regular 3DS, I love that game and I don't have the new 3DS XL.

What most of the stup-- UNINFORMED people commenting on this post don't realize is that it's literally impossible to put Xenoblade 3D on the old 3DS Xl, because it doesn't have enough processing power. The New 3DS does, therefore the game can only be played on the New 3DS.

Is this game as good as others say?

I can accept the fact that it doesn't run on my 3DS XL. I'm sure Nintendo understands that I can wait to play a mediocre-looking (graphics-wise I mean; the scope itself looks ambitious) A-RPG and Binding Of Isaac until the next-gen handheld comes out, with an actual second joystick, better screen res and a vastly improved processor. The N3DSXL just isn't for me as-is.

That being said, are people really complaining about price here? I remember shelling out $250 for the classic 3DS, when I was single and looking for income. The N3DSXL may not be worth the upgrade, but it's rather reasonably-priced in comparison to its older brother. It's just not the game machine my Fiancée and I are looking for right now, is all.

It's not like the normal 3DS can't handle ports of Wii games. It handled DKC Returns very well.
