Got my Deviljho guild quest to 136 and yeah, Apex Deviljho is the real deal outside of the arena. So question. How high does ones health have to be to not be 1 shot by his foot stomp?

    The next go I stayed to his left big time but the team got taken out and I was way to cautious. I think it's time to equip that narg x set so that I can be more aggressive and what not. If defense means so little anyway why not just go for it? I could archipelago's God the quest with the elemental stone too?

    Unfortunately when monsters are at that lvl and higher, pretty much any powerful move they do can potentially ohko u regardless of defense and hp. Just have to try not to get hit much or at all by them lol. Felyne moxie and the Guts skills helps with surviving ohko attacks but moxie only works once and with guts skill u need to have at least 60% hp or higher for it to work.

    Been dodging ever since but it's difficult to find a group for him. That's why I'm starting to think about the old spam gunner technique right outta the Alatreon play book. Up to now I've only been using switch axe but maybe it's time I switched back to gunner for a while? Anyway, was wondering how much damage that attack does out of curiosity.

    Considering the factors in play: G rank monsters hit harder Apex/frenzied monsters have a little more power than regular monsters Guild Quests get tougher every level I'd say that stomp would slay anyone who dares oppose it. Those with less than 650 defense will be in trouble.

    He 1 hit me at full health with 771 defense. Threw on my evasion set and played around solo wo healing and went a solid 10 minutes against him just to see. That'll be my approach the next time only with duals to improve hitting just his legs while in apex mode.
