  • But the monster is there and might hit you and then you'll go flying, but if you wait for the monster to leave the shiny might be gone

  • That's why I usually pick them up after they perform one of their bigger attacks. It usually takes about a second or two of recovery time for them to come gunning for me, just enough time for me to collect their delicious tears. Or shiny gems. Either or.

  • Sheath your weapon when you get the chance after the shiny drops. Bait a monster far from the shiny and go for it as they attack. Or, if your playing in groups or with Palicoes, wait until the monster is distracted. That's what I tend to do.

  • If you're afraid to get hit ... flash bomb monsters to distract them while u nab the shiny ;)

  • I have gotten a lot of Gems/Mantels from shiny drops. Why wouldn't you pick them up? Its a good idea to pick them up.
