    Well Rajang was the (technical) first to get a varient form. Golden Rajang, or Furious Rajang as it's now known in MH4U, first appeared in Freedom Unite, while Rajang alone first appeared in MH2. Though us in the west didn't get 2 and had to wait until Freedom 2 to hunt Rajang. Deviljho is the second to also have a variant, so your suspicions may not be far off.

    Here's something else about Deviljho, he was based on Godzilla. Despite many different features between the two creatures, Deviljho very well depicts the spirit of the King of Monsters. And even though Rajang is based on Saiyans from Dragon Ball, it is ape-like in the end. What's the point I'm making here? A simple one actually. What is probably the best cross-over ever done in movies? tbc

    King Kong vs. Godzilla of coarse. Though Kong in the movie did not in any turned it's hair golden, it did however absorb electricty, and used that power to shock Godzilla which was one of Godzilla's weakness. Deviljho's Weakness is mostly Thunder with Dragon as a secondary weakness, and Rajang projectile attacks are Electrical. So we got a perfect reenactment of King Kong vs. Godzilla in MH4U.
