    For some new games, only the new 3ds can do it. The old ones dont have enough RAM to keep both apps open.

    Press the home button and hold y. you can take screenshots of either the top, bottom or both screens. Unfortunately, you can't do this for MH4U unless you're using the new nintendo 3ds :(
