Impressions

I've just finished watching the trailer of capcoms newest upcoming MH game which is a spin-off called: "Monster Hunter Stories" for the 3ds. And imo the game looks great for a 3D anime styled game, and u can seemingly use wyverns to battle as well from what was shown in the trailer from the young boy hunter jumping on a los back and preparing to fight a tigrex while riding los! The world looks-

    -very vibrant and detailed for a anime style game which i actually like since i was always fond of 3D anime visuals from playing dragon quest games. The environment shown looked pretty huge too. Im thinking its combat will be a lot more action heavy and dynamic than the main series which i hope it is cuz i've always wanted to play a more action oriented mh at least once. Could be a pretty good-

    -game and a nice change from the all too familiar formula of the main series (its too familiar to me anyway) but we'll see as they reveal more on the game throughout the yr.

    I viewed the trailer and yes it does look very nice. The style and overwold reminds me of Okami, if you're familiar with the series. 2016 though, and that's for Japan.

    Ya it reminded me more of Level-5 games like dragon quest with its visuals and overworld. Yes for now its slated for japan next yr so who knows how long it'll be b4 we get it. But if its for either 3ds and not exclusive to the new 3ds then i'll be able to import it since i already have a japanese 3ds xD. Course that's if the game turns out more interesting from what's been shown so far.

    I loved that trailer! Now, we just settle in and wait for actual details on the gameplay (and whether or not they plan a release outside Japan). There is so much potential for awesomeness here ... must ... manage ... expectations!

    Ya the graphics look amazing and im loving the anime styled visuals. Since its named: "Monster Hunter Stories" im expecting it way more adventurous and story driven than the main series with actual rpg elements which could make for a very interesting game. Im hoping the actual gameplay doesn't disappoint cuz i would love to get into this new series of mh. Its nice to have a new change from the-

    -original formula and u can even ride monsters XD. Also the characters are known as "riders" rather than "hunters" on the spin-off.

    Well its about time they have some monsters as something other than a creature to slaughter. Refreshing change of pace imo. I may have found a game in the franchise I can truly get into.

    I'm not saying there wont be any battling them at all but this is a decent start towards a relatively peaceful existance with monsters compared with all the other MH games from what I have seen in screenshots and videos of the other games.
