    Good question, though if not intentional, at least accidentally it makes sense (from Wikipedia): The name berserker derives from the Old Norse berserkr

    It is intentional! We spell it this way partly because of what Big Humung said. Also because "Berserkeress" looks very strange compared to "Berserkress", so for consistency we spell Berserkr similary to Berserkress.
