I know that the Pokemon Trainer isn't in smash anymore but they could have did some update due to the recent games. Like they could have use either Male or Female, choose one of the three starter Pokemon since you can't transformation anymore, and depending on the starter Pokemon the moves as well the final smash will be different just in case for those who don't have mega evolution yet

    Or! They could have just put in the starter Pokémon. Because the Trainer was just a vehicle for the form-switching. Besides, male and female trainers were introduced by the time Brawl came out.

    what they should've done was replace pkmn trainer with team rocket(jesse+james), and you could switch between arbok, victory bell, and wheezing. OR, just make meowth a character, which would've been even cooler. his special can be team rocket catching everyone, attatching them to a rocket, and have them "blasting off agaaaaiiiinnnn!!"

    The only problem with that Chris, is we have so many villians whether it's human or pokemon in the series it wouldn't be possible. Besides if they would ever bring in Pokémon boss, it would be Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre.

    And Jessie and James are from the anime; while Smash Bros. is fine with referencing the anime, having a character that only appeared in the anime would be going too far.

    valid points, but meowth is a universally known villain, and he could represent teamrocket. kyogre and groudon would be WAY too big to be playable anyway(like ridley).
