[ Amiibo Touch & Play App Comes to EU Apr 30 ] Nintendo of Europe confirms an April 30th release for the free app, which lets you sample time-limited segments of gameplay from 22 classic NES & 8 SNES titles simply by opening the app and scanning an amiibo on the GamePad. What's more, repeatedly re-scanning an Amiibo gifts players access to an additional 8 segments from the same game.

    Cool. I have six Amiibos, so six demos for me. Let's see do I have the games already. Do they have the list of games yet? Are there any regional differences? I know Japanese Smash 4 copies had FE1 as a masterpiece, removed for obvious reasons.

    Man that's value!! How much time you get will probably make a difference, but a chance to try multiple segments? That's a fantastic deal on top of everything else you get for $12.

    While this app would be a bit of a waste of money ($14 for 1 amiibo and, I think, $3-$4 for a full NES title), it's good for those who don't have eShop cash. It'd be nice to see it arrive in North America.
