    Braking is necessary. I wasn't sure on the 1st cup I did (Mushroom Cup) but after getting into some of the more complicated cups I am sure. That and the description for 200CC reads "braking is crucial." The trick is to brake mid-drift rapidly. I was getting the hang of it last night but it still kind of breaks my brain sometimes...
