  • Eh, just do what you can to get your money's worth. And while the Twilight and, to a lesser extent, Termina, maps are both unforgiving, I guess it's a bit easier on the sanity if you don't try to get A ranks to unlock heart containers and stuff.

  • Alright, so I've actually got some new advice to you. Knowing me, though, it's gonna take a couple posts to get through it all, so just bear with me. A thing I've recently learned about the elemental properties of weapons- shock, fire, water, light, and dark- not only have the bonus effects described in the tutorials, but they also operate in a rock paper scissors style.

  • That is, I played through a mission (had to fight Volga) as Link, and then I went back and did it as Impa (Link had the Magical Sword, Impa had Biggoron's sword), and I noticed that Impa was dealing noticeably more damage. They were at the same level, and neither weapon had any skills attached. Impa, however, had a water element weapon, and Volga's was fire.

  • If I had to guess, I'd say that means that certain elements have advantages in terms of damage dealt over others. I tested this theory with a couple other weapons, and the results I'm pretty sure about are: light beats dark, water beats fire, and shock beats water. I'm not absolutely sure about the rest, but I think dark beats shock and fire beats light.

  • Remember this if you have to go up against a warrior. Also, you know how you can power up your items, like the bow? There's a potion that can upgrade all your weapons permanently for one fight. Get in the habit of spamming either the bow of light or gale boomerang. And if you don't think you want to upgrade them, just spam the normal boomerang- it stuns enemies. Useful if you get swarmed.

  • Yeah, you don't really need to use it anywhere but the Twilight Map, so it's not something you'd think of right away. I found out by sheer luck.

  • I'll say this- it is by all means worth it (and sort of necessary) to do it with your warriors at level 150- there are some missions where you really don't stand a chance otherwise. Keep brewing the EXP accelerator for every mission you do- if you fail it the first time, you'll probably still have leveled up, so you stand a better chance in round 2. Or 3. Or 4... yeah, a lot were just horrible...

  • And you should be. It's fear that motivates the grinding, fear that keeps you on your toes. It's fear that you will need to survive. ...ten bucks if you get the reference, I actually forgot what it's from.
