    They don't want to have lag with someone overseas. Someone else from Japan will have a better connection.

    I used to wonder the same thing, but I realized that Japanese players are far. Far = lag. :p But I remember one time I managed to join a MK7 match where 5 of the 8 players were Japanese. I got fourth. I'm not complaining. XD
