The whole Zod controversy from Man of Steel was stupid. First off, Supes killed Zod in Superman 2, but no one went crazy over that. Second, he either had to kill Zod, or everyone else would have been killed. Thirdly, the citizens Zod was trying to kill were trapped in a corner, so they couldn't escape without Superman stopping him in some way.

    Sure, but the whole movie was a very different take on Superman. Some people don't care for it. I'm okay with it, but I don't like emphasizing Kal-El over Clark Kent. My take on SM is based on Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow? and the comic Man of Steel. Movie MoS wasn't Clark, he was Kal-El, an alien. Hard to empathize with that.
