Me saying that Sega was successful with the Genesis and that Sonic was the reason that the Genesis was more successful than the Super Nintendo at one point is not me being a Sonic fanboy. It's stating cold hard facts that I figured were common knowledge by now, but I guess not.

    If there's anything you must know Zach, is that the flames from the SNES vs Genesis war have not gone away entirely. People are still very passionate about it for the better or worse.

    Yeah, I still hear people say that Sega will eventually come back with the "Dreamcast 2," but I don't see it happening anytime soon.

    Even the most innocent comments on the SNES vs Genesis war can lead to heavy arguments. A couple of months ago I made a post on Sega's heavy marketing campaign of the Genesis and by the end of it, it had become a SNES vs Genesis argument.

    Sonic was one the reasons why Sega surpassed Nintendo back then. Its not an opinion, its a well known fact. This is coming from someone who doesn't care for the Sonic series btw.

    So, apparently, stating cold hard facts about gaming history makes me a fanboy. Okay, then. I guess saying that the PlayStation 4 is more successful than the Wii U in terms of sales makes me a Sony fanboy, even though it's a well-known and accepted fact that the PlayStation 4 IS more successful than the Wii U in terms of sales.
