    this is two lines of dialogue in a sidequest, completely unrelated to the main story, and meant to be friendly banter between mother and child. why do you care so much that they decide to change it to make it seem more cute and funny to westerners? for pointlessly removed content like saizo and beruka's C support i can understand. but to complain about this is childish.

    in the japanese version he says that he is happy to be with his mother. i don't see how him playfully expressing his love for his her departs from that very much. besides, direct translation isn't always better. there is some dialogue in the japanese version that can be changed so westerners find more appealing. you also have glazed over my point that it's only 2 lines of speech.

    its not just two lines. it happens all through out the american version of the game. and yes, i'm aware of the differences between direct translation and localization. fates wasnt translated or localized. it was butchered.

    butchered... as far as i recall, most of the support, cutscene, and story dialogues remain intact. really, you're just taking a few conversations and blowing it out of proportion. i followed the japanese version since it was released and i still enjoyed my playthrough in english. the gameplay is still there. the story is still told. don't complain about trivial things like these.
