    Both, though I think that Smash engenders greater interest in the games of its featured characters than vice versa.

    sidney E → I agree : Smash add value to other games. Actually, playing Smash is the main reason I finally bought : - F-ZERO GX - Kid Icarus : Uprising - Xenoblade Chronicles - Kirby : Triple Deluxe ... and my "next to buy" game is Fire Emblem : Shadow Dragon (eShop). So... yeah. Smash has a big influence.
