    Good news: A friend of mine got at least the bottom screen to work for me, with which I managed a System Transfer. Data survived intact to a n3DS. Bad news: $200 out of my wallet for that n3DS, on top of another eventual $100 on a repair for the 3DS. Least I have Red & Blue now to take my mind off things.
