[Sakurais Next Game]

With the recent news of Sakurai working on his next project what do you feel he is working on? A new IP? Old series? A new Kid Icarus game? It is Sakurai he could go against waht he said before. I do not feel it will be smash on NX i want it to be Kid Icarus uprising 2. I do think it will most likely endup being a reboot of a series.

    I don't feel it will be Ice Climbers do to the fact that Sakurai said a bit back that Ice Climbers weren't in Smash due to it "Not being able to work on 3DS due to not knowing the software well enough at the time" And said he only wanted characters in the game that had a future.......... It is Sakurai so he was probably just joking and Ice Climbers could be revived.

    Last I checked the 'series that have no future' quote was taken out of context. It had to do with something else, though I forgot the details. Either way, I'm pretty sure it had no actual bearing on the Ice Climbers. Besides, this has nothing to do with Smash, and Smash has nothing to do with Sakurai's next project, I'd say.

    Then Metroid (or Custom Robo, definitely). As much as Sakurai didn't do much with it for Smash, him directing the next game can give him a good look at what he CAN do. And, I don't want to start something, but, imagine Ridley being given character while still being his sadistic, sarcastic. Imagine Hades, but making even more twisted and sinister jokes like the "pay your respects" one.

    I don't feel it will be Metroid I feel Retro is already handling that to be an NX launch title. We have Smash NX, Metroid(probably) and aswell probably uprising 2 ruled out. I hope it is a new IP

    Okay major news here. I wil post it after this has stopped getting comments. But Amazon put a listing for Shovel Knight amiibo yet the box art is a bit different and says super smash bros on it. Its Sakurai so its not like he hasn't lied in the past but this is mostly likely something on amazons side.

    Federation force will still come. To me its a game with Metroid slapped on the title. They thought that would help sell it but it backfired majorly

    I personally see nothing wrong with Federation Force. From the tiny bit of actual gameplay we've seen it looks pretty similar to Prime Hunters. The only major departures are the addition of co-op (which is good), a different art style (meh, not a big deal), and the lack of Samus as the main protagonist (again, I don't care too much). I think some Metroid fans are just blowing it out of proportion.

    Let me put it like this. I LOVE the Sin & Punishment series and in 2010 the sequel Star Successor came out. It was a radical departure from the 1st game in terms of story, tone, art style, characters, and music; it was essentially a complete diversion from the original game in everything except gameplay. Despite all that I was still extremely hyped to be getting a new game; Metroid fans should too

    Now if the game has more trailers and the gameplay looks terrible, or if the game releases and it plays atrociously, then it's completely reasonable to criticise it. But until we have some real, tangible experience with the game judgement should be withheld. The biggest complaints I see about it always about aesthetics and art style. Again. I think people are blowing things out of proportion.

    I personally want them to do Metroid NX over DK NX just since they have done 2 DK games in a row now so it would be nice to see something different. Maybe even a new IP.
