Must Pay Full Price for DLC again?

I bought all the DLC characters for Smash Bros. (Wii U). I recently got a 3DS and Smash. Now I want those characters on my DS. Is there some way to get the characters on my DS with that bundle discount, or am i really expected to pay full price for this again?

  • You'll have to pay full price again

  • You would've had to buy the bundled price at purchase.

  • If you double up with a friend who is looking to buy the DLC for the Wii U, each of you pays half the cost of the bundle, then you could use the 3DS codes for yourself. Doubt Nintendo would greatly endorse this, mind. There's no official way of doing it.

  • This is not fair. This is not how Nintendo should treat their most loyal customers. This policy only effects the people who bought both systems, and both games. Literally their most loyal cystomers who've already made a significant investment, then put them through the ringer?!?! Thoughtless, punitive, darn near abusive to their biggest fans. Absurd.

  • But there is an option. Admittedly, if you didn't know you were gonna have a 3ds at the time of buying it on the Wii, it's not great.

  • Despite the whole deal with NNIDs, you'll have to buy everything again. Granted, both aren't even that expensive.

  • @DчF, you must have access to a distinctly different-looking pocket than my own if you think the DLC pricing is on the cheap side.

  • Guess what? Nintendo doesn't do that to people, and they never did. Bandai Namco makes the DLC prices.

  • Isn't the one who already owns both systems more loyal? Anyway, yeah, cross-buy would've been nice, but yeah...
