SFV Beta Test 1.08

With another Beta update this month, what do you expect to see this time around? Fang is likely to be playable, but thats it for new characters. What else is new for us to try?

Oh yeah, 16th. my bad. lol oh, its right after President's day! I should be off work when the game releases, so I should be spending alot of time on it then. lol

So who the 5th most popular character in the series? I always thought Guile or M.Bison

Well, truth be told its Cammy. Cammy dominated the SFIV polls when asking who to add into SFIV (as the original only had the classic 8). Sakura is pretty high as well I believe. Guile is hard to say, as he only appeared in 3 games. In Alpha 1-2 he was replaced by Charlie. SF3 with Remy (hope I spelled it right).

Oh i always thought she was like 7th most popular. Guile i thought because of his theme song.

Theme song yes, character wise, he is popular but Cammy kinda trumps him. Cammy kinda gained main character status due to her popularity. So she's kinda guaranteed to be in more games now.

Yeah the other 3 fighters who added aloang side Cammy they not really that popular are they?

Fei-long waa pretty big, but T.Hawk & DeeJay I guess werent so popular. Cammy & Fei dominated the polls to be added. If anyone else was close, it be Sakura. As Sakura was a bit of the main character in the Alpha series. She was similar to Ryu, in both style and passion. But a bit more hyperactive. I guess thats what made her popular.

Is Dan more popular then her?

Dan is memorable, as he was the first joke fighter. So he has some memorable status too. Even when not playable, his face is seen. SFxTEK is a good example. He is likely to show up, but before Sakura? Doubt it as Sakura's old rival Karin is in game. But in terms of popularity, i'd say they'd be pretty equal.

Roster already has my favorites. DLC provides Alex which I'm happy for. Guile, Ibuki & Juri I cant wait to see, and see what changes they hsve. I think year 1's DLC seems pretty good. Curious how much DLC they plan in the future.

It's DLC line up is already better then MKX and somewhat SSB4. MKX DLC characters i don't really like it with all of these horror movie characters and the MK characters we did get only 2 of them look interesting. Smash Bros DLC was interesting with all of the surprises we got like Ryu, Cloud and Bayonetta but we did not get any most request characters like King K Rool, Wolf and Inkling.

SFV has the best DLC so far of the 3. Atleast in term of characters. Smash has good DLC, but nothing to grand aside the newcomers. Their vets play the same from past games. SFV has veterans, but play differently in this game. They have new looks and new techniques. So it will be interesting to see what changes they made to the old vets. What kind of perks will Alex, Juri, and the rest will have?

Oh there one thing i want to say. In the opening for SF5 i think they were the hinting to the return of Evil Ryu.

Maybe not hinting, but storywise, I'm sure the Satsouinohodou will play a part in this game. Ryu's V-Skill & V-trigger give that dark ominous glow to them. So possibly this power is being used by Ryu. I think Necalli plays some role with the dark power. As he is often seen in trailers with ryu, and is still unknown of his background.

BETA up today! Aside from the constant loses. I did notice some rearrangments of the characters and menus. Now all the online stuff is on the right while the normal stuff on the left. Sadly, though they censored Cammy & Mika, they never even bothered to patch Chun-li's bugs. Been months, still there. I know its a small detail, but come on! Why isnt this fixed!?

They changed Cammy's intro, so the camera angle isnt focused behind her. And they cut out the slap in Mika's Ultra Combo. And I seen the cop attire. Seems capcom answered my wishes for 2 looks i always wanted. Chun with long hair, and a cop uniform.
