Three things I want the new Smash director to do.

1. Try to get Snake back (Sakurai wouldn't have anything to do with it, so he and Kojima would still be friends). 2. Allow 3rd party characters from the same franchises. 3. Add more Mario, Zelda, Mother and Xenoblade characters.

You want him to bring Snake back and give good publicity to Konami? No way!

  • I could actually do without so many 3rd parties next time. Also I'm sure Sakurai will be ready to make the next one when the time comes. It just won't be for many years.

  • Josh, giving Konami the representation for anything is pure stupidity. It's not even a Sakurai & Kojima × Konami conflict anymore. Now it's Konami × it's fans & employees. That company deserves no representation in this game.

  • Konami deserves nothing. And this is coming from a HUGE Metal Gear Solid fan (as well as other Konami franchises like Yu-Gi-Oh!).

  • As horrible Konami currently behaves, it would be still nice to sneak Snake back into Smash. I can also agree on upping Zelda and Xenoblade reps. Mario and guest franchises not so much.

  • More Mario characters? Hold up, let me be honest. Do we really need 9 characters from Mario origins. Do we really need more of the xeno crew when their sort of obscure? The only thing I can agree on is the Zelda representation, maybe have the King from the Philips CD-i games? Not saying that you're wrong, but you have to question a bit of it.

  • I don't see third party characters from the same series happening. (ex: Tails, Black Mage, Knuckles, Zero, etc.) And with the way Konami is behaving lately, Konami doesn't deserve a rep. They're a sinking ship.

  • Not going to happen. Even when Sakurai leaves his rules will still be used to prevent the game from leaving its roots. He did that when he left the Kirby games as he left behind some rules on what needs to be in the games and whats acceptable. As for Konami they don't deserve a rep(and this is coming from a Snake main), why support them when Kojima will have new games out and we can use them

  • Mario doesn't need new reps, there's plenty to go around. Mother doesn't need new reps, it's a dead franchise. We don't need more 3rd-parties. That will dilute Smash's original purpose. A Xenoblade X character wouldn't be so bad, IMO. Zelda deserves at least 1 more character. That is my thesis.

  • STAR AND SCREEN KO'S ARE NEEDED. (GLARES AT THE BOXING RING AND SUPER MARIO MAKER STAGE.)

Yes, please bring back Snake! Other than him, there does not need to be any more 3rd-party characters. Mario: No Zelda: Yes Earthbound: Maybe Xenoblade Chronicles: No
