Why Steve is still a bad character choice

Now steve is a legitimate video game character so what makes him bad you ask? The character's quality was low enough to put him on the level of troll votes along with Goku & Shrek. If he was bad enough to be marked as a troll vote then he's lacking something unique Let's not mention how bad it is (buisness standpoint) to give a rival company representation

    That's not the sole reason why he can't appear (while it's still a huge reason) but here's why. Steve is basically a Microsoft character while other characters like Banjo from Rare (whose done something for Nintendo) are more plausible. Nintendo has already worked with Microsoft but adding a rival rep seems unlikely, but someone from a former Nintendo 2nd party shows application for the classics

    Steve isn't even really an actual character. He's just some ugly pixelated block guy with no personality. I'll never understand why people want that...thing...in Smash.
