Clone Characters.

Why do the clone characters get so much hate? Honestly, I PREFER them over the originals! I'M DEAD SERIOUS! Why do you people have to bash on them?!

    Clones are pretty fun to play as and some differ quite a bit from the originals Lucina-less height,which implies smaller hitbox and less range than Marth Doesnt have tippers but the overall damage is more consistant. Dark pit:Completely different Final smash,different side b and neutral b.I think he also has stat changes Doctor-less mobility,more power,less combo potential,totally different Down b

    (continued) Doctor-up b has a sweetspot,pills have more consistant damage,arent considered energy projectiles(this means PSI magnet and bucket dont work)And pills also bounce higher Side b causes 0.5 more damage and doesnt stall mid air. D air is completely different Final smash is the same,but with different visual effects F air cant meteor spike Up smash has side knockback

    Clones have existed in many fighting games, Ryu and Evil Ryu in SF, Jack and P.Jack in Tekken, etc. Those complaining have probably never played other fighting games.

    People think they wasted slots that could be used for other characters (Wolf, Snake, Ice climbers). but they are awesome characters.

    A lot of "clone" characters aren't actually completely clones of a character. We have Mario, Luigi, and Dr. Mario who have differences. We have Fox, Falco, and Wolf who have differences. Also I prefer to use Dr. Mario instead of Mario and I prefer to use Dark Pit instead of Pit.

    I hear the wasted slot argument a lot, Anyways my issue with clones in general is their lack of differences. At least here its not a big issue. Fox Falco are their own character now as Falcon and Ganon (well...). Mario and Doc have a huge list of differences that make them unique enough and the one difference Marth and Lucina have alter their playstyle quite a bit. Lucina can be more aggressive.

    I personally can't say the same for Pit and Dark Pit. Yeah they have more differences than the Falchions but they still play exactly the same. The arrow, side B and f-tilt differences aren't enough to make Dark Pit unique to me. The only thing that Dark Pit does have unique is how different he is compared the evil half trope Nintendo has done.

    Shadow Mario: Just an evil version of Mario... Dark Link: Just an evil version of Link... Dark Samus: An evil version of Samus... Dark Pit: An evil half (that isn't actually even evil) with his own goals and personality that isn't just be the antagonist to the hero (Pit). I don't know the entire story but he has way more character then the list mentioned above.

    Yea, the JPN "Black Pit" doesn't assume as much about his character as "Dark Pit" does, which implies some kind of maleficence. Anyway, I'm not sure what those against clones are arguing should've happened. That they should have been left out? They're a bonus! They took zilch time to make and they're there for the people who like them, who are plentiful. I respect all of your opinions, BTW. ^_^
