I failed horribly, then somehow managed to take it all back. I would have posted this sooner, but the lack of a gamepad charger until today prevented me. I should also note I'm currently out of posts.

    Yeah, this is my second one. The first one got so messed up cause I had to keep messing with it that it started to fray until it didn't work at all. I'm trying to order a new one before that happens to the new one.

    Heh, mine's been glitchy for years. I also busted both shoulder buttons on my first 3DS, so I bought one that has working L & R buttons. I keep the old one around if I ever want to trade Pokémon to myself or play games downloaded on it. Also: Footstool power!
