Competitive Miis/Ingame Tournaments

As you can tell, I love miis and the mii fighters. So not seeing them online or in tournaments really grinds my gears. Sure there's online tournaments, but they need some work. Anyway, what changes should the miis go through so they can be competitive like the other fighters? Where's offline tournament? And what fixes do you want to see in online tournaments?
