Considering that Joker, the Unknowable is surrounded by 24 other Blattas, it's a particularly large Blatta, and Blattas are one of the weakest enemy classes in the game, I'm tempted to assume its existence is a reference to Reyn's "What a bunch of jokers" quote from the original Xenoblade Chronicles.
