Remember when people thought that raTEoREkiSImeAra's title meant that Lao was going to merge with a Telethia at the end of Xenoblade X and you'd have to fight that as the final boss? Okay, maybe it was just me that thought that, but either way, the final boss would have been a hell of a lot harder were that the case.
