Question

Wii U & 3DS character select screen differences.

Does anyone else find it odd that the 3DS version of Smash will always remember the last color alt. you were using for a character but the Wii U version still doesn't even after several updates? Maybe it has something to do with the 3DS's limitations?

Wrong, the Wii U usually has MANY people playing on it, always reverting back to the original skin. The 3DS Smash is mostly just for you, so it keeps your favourite skin

I wish the 3DS and Wii U versions have the same character selection...

The 3DS is the personal SSB game so it will save your personal choice. The WiiU version is the local multiplayer version in which many people are going to use and there isn't any way to remember who liked which costume when you have 2-8 players having different preferences, which is why they stay at their neutral color.
