Why isn't Goku in smash?

Come on people! Don't you see that Goku would make an awesomely awesome character to play as! I mean he has a good chance getting in, considering they let Beyonetta (Idk how to spell her name) in. #Vote4Goku

    Its Bayonetta, and she's in because she's a popular video game character. Goku is an anime/manga character. Asking why Goku isn't in Smash, Is a bit like asking why Luigi isn't in Jump Ultimate Stars

    Here we go yet again... Sakurai specifically said ONLY characters that originated from video games are eligible for Smash! That means no anime characters, and no movie characters! Goku will never be in ANY Smash game! Why can't people understand this?! It should be common sense.

    Goku is not in smash due to license and copy right laws. To get him in the game you would need permission form toei animation, funamation studio, shoean jump magazine and Akira toriyama (that's for the American and Japanese version of the game)

    Smash still has a few iconic game characters to go through before they expand to iconic movie/tv show/other characters. Give it time and I'm sure they'll either start adding non video game characters or stop making Smash games.

    This "goku4smash" is so overused it's never gonna happen he had history with Nintendo only in a Nintendo DS game but he doesn't fit the potential and Bayonetta is the last dlc fighter we'll have it's been said to you many times.
