Another EVO Announcement, More FGC Salt..

Ok, so Smash 4, Melee, and Pokken got announced, and a ton of FGC players are saying it's "NintenEvo" now. Why does the FGC hate the Smash community? (Well, at least the vocal minority. Justin Wong went to Genesis 3. XD)

    I'm a bit unsure if Smash 4 is still able to be played at Evo considering how annoying it must of been for customs to work. Also, how many people were viewing on stream? Was it bigger than melee's? If all else fails I'm still hyped for street fighter.

    @Alex That's for Smash4, I believe there's nothing wrong with Melee considering the skill it takes to play it at a high level, and the offensive play. Smash4 might have some trouble, I think it's staying in EVO though because last year it had some of the hypest sets. If there isn't as much hype this year Smash4 might not be in for EVO 2017, because of it's gameplay.

    It's likely that the Nintendo games are there to fill in games that no longer appear in EVO, such as KOF XIII and the majority of Arc System Works' fighting games.

    Jealousy. It seems that the vocal minority is butt hurt because their favorite games are becoming less and less popular whereas Smash is becoming more and more popular. It's remarkable that for the first time ever, there will be more Nintendo games than Capcom games on the EVO main stage, which is indicative of Capcom's decline.

    Ah, that's reasonable... I guess? I know I was surprised when all of them got announced. I wish the FGC didn't treat us like a red-head stepchild. -_- Like. We haven't done anything to them....

    As others have said, a majority of the FGC still don't consider Smash a fighting game since it's not really a traditional one. Smash is treated like the black sheep of the herd and the vocal part of the community is not helping in that problem. (Also, some see the majority of Melee players still...."clinging", to a 15 year old game)
