The reason why Smash Ballot is a Joke...

In here America, Kids of the age of 5-12 year olds voted stupid request (non-video game) characters such as Shrek, Goku, Freddy Fazbear etc. the reason why I say this its because your favorite video game characters like Shantae or Rayman etc. didn't get 'Enough Votes' on the ballot thats why internet trolls WASTE their votes on Non-Video Game Characters.

    I heard somewhere they only counted votes that actually mattered, so I'm guessing Goku and Shrek were never even considered.

    And to all the Bayonetta's Haters out there, don't blame Bayonetta's Fans who voted Bayonetta to make it in Smash who take up a slot. blame the trolls who waste their votes on non-video game characters CAUSE THEY KNOW THE RISK.

    The Smash Ballot was a cool idea, but I agree that some things maybe have been done a little bit better, like how in order to cast your vote, you need to sign in with you NNID and you use a drop down list to narrow down who your character is and where they came from if they're actually from a video game.

    They didn't count those votes. During the Presentation where Bayonetta was announced, Sakurai said she was the most requested "realizable" character. This probably means that characters like Goku and Spongebob were a head of her, but Sakurai obviously dismissed them

    Well, I have a theory who the other 4 were: King K. Rool: The Mii Fighter outfit would make the DLC redundant. Inkling: Same reason as above. Banjo & Kazooie: Issues with Microsoft. Snake: Sakurai hates Konami because of the Kojima stuff.

    I don't think the Mii Fighter costumes were a problem because Meta Knight, Fox and Captain Falcon all have Mii costumes. However, I think the top voted character was Snake or Ice Climbers, which they couldn't put in.

    I see the Mii Costumes as a way to let people know that Nintendo/Sakurai at least acknowledges the popular ballot characters (Like King K Rool and Lloyd Irving)

    We also have to consider that A) some companies may not allow there characters to appear in a game that's not of their control, like KH's Sora and Solid Snake. And B) Sakuari ultimately decides if they can make the DLC fighter work and be special, which is why we were given Mii costumes for K.Rool(who isn't really special) and Inklings(who are too special).

    Also, I personal believe that Cloud's addition also had something to do with it. Like, the planned for 2 winners, but as seen as the ballot open, Square-Enix bought a slot. Certainly, they need as much positive attention as possible for the Final Fantasy 7 remake.

    I don't. I think Nintendo wanted a Square-Enix character, they fought for Cloud, and they got him. I don't think the ballot had anything to do with him.

    You can blame me I voted for bayonetta several times useing different ip address to get her in and talked friends and family who do not play the game to vote for her. So I used my smarts to and worked a little to get her in

    Bayonetta was number 1 among realisable characters. That means she beat Inkling, Shantae, Shovel Knight, Wolf and K Rool. As Way Forward didn't say no, and the rest are nintendo characters. Realisable means does nintendo have the rights to the character, if not will the company that has them let them use the character? If the answer is yes then they had a shot.

    I voted for (the fairy,) Lip, from Panel De Pon(what became Tetris Attack, then Pokemon Puzzle League, then Puzzle League). I pointed out her magic wand has been in Smash, since Melee introduced "Lip's Stick". My other choices were for Shantae, Mega Man X, Zero, or Chun-Li
